So last weekend, I met up with Michelle of Daisybutter for a lazy Sunday brunch while I was visiting in Hong Kong. The best idea because I was looking for a bit of that Western food, cafe indulgence after a few days of Chinese food! She recommended The Coffee Academics, a popular joint down at Causeway Bay, which was tucked into a small street, well-hidden away from the hustle of the city. It took us a while to find the place so we were both starving when we finally stepped in!
We were spoiled for choice, but I eventually caved and got the classic Eggs Benedict while Mish got the full English Breakfast. I can’t exactly remember the price points, but I do remember that cafe brunching in Hong Kong is similar to Singapore, so cafe enthusiasts might want to check The Coffee Academics out! Especially when they’re opening their first store in Orchard Road later this year! Found the news on their Instagram page. So excited to head there for my second TCA experience, this time on home ground.
Being able to spend a leisurely afternoon was great, and we had the best time talking about everything from travelling to our favourite girl band Apink. Fangirling certainly never fails to bond people together. I’m looking forward to the day we can meet again, hopefully in the UK.
Was also ecstatic to indulge in post-brunch shopping at ALAND, where we picked up a couple of new things, and also admire the fancy boutiques of Times Square, before popping into another eatery for fried gyozas and delicious smoothies. Truly the best afternoon.
Will be blogging about HK in a bit, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, I’ve finally started on a new K-drama – here’s hoping Twenty Again won’t disappoint.
